About Me
Kid Vers aka RFG was born on the 5th of June, 1976 in Erlangen, close to Nuernberg in the dirty dirty South of Germany. Shortly after his birth, his Mother left the kid and he had to stay with his Father.Not having enough money to raise a child by himself and having conflicts with the law, he left his son to grow up with his Grandparents. One of the problems, why his life should become so „messed up", was present from the beginnin – Money!His Grandmother had to stay home, to take care of a child and his Grandfather had to go to work, so there was never enough money. Beeing dissed and even spit at in Kindergarten, because he didn´t have „Parents", or because he had to wear the same pair of pants for a few days, had an influence on him, that can´t be denied. Since that, he always tried to stay away from people.Recognizing, that there was no one he could relate to, except his Grandparents, who came from a whole different generation, brought him close to what should become the most important thing in his life; Music!At the age of 6, he became member of an Orchestra/Music School, where he learned how to play the trumpet. Beeing bored with the music he was involved there, he focused on learning as much as possible about makin music and understanding it, so he can later use his knowledge to create his own music. In 1988, 1989 and 1990, he received a few diplomas for „young musicians".He always has been attracted to „classic" instruments, like the Cello, Strings, Violins etc., wich you can still hear in almost all of his beats.Growing up right next to an american Army Base and living with american friends, had a huge influence on him. Listening to the „Raps", hearing those people talk about problems, wars, hate and love, using their words as a „weapon" impressed him so much, that he decided to also express himself with the „spoken word".The fact, that he also grew up with turkish, greek, spanish, italian, asian and other cultures, also has a „multicultural" influence on his thinking and his creations.After 1992, when his Grandparents moved to another City, his life went in a different direction. His love for the „streets", that has always been there, got him going into a dark future – Crime!Grand auto theft, car races, this and that, always in to trouble; ending up, running and hiding for 4 years, wanted by the police and finally serving 3½ years in prison.Trying to use the time in prison as good as possible, he got his school diploma there.During his time behind these walls, he focused on reading and writing. History (different perspectives), religions, politics, literacy, philosophie, physics and so on. After he was released from prison at the end of 2005, he started recording one song after another, with different artists from all over the world. He is currently working on his first solo album, called the „Approach of the RFG", wich is completely written, produced by himself.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
