***********Shelly Quest born Lilliette LaShelle Reese on January 10,1980 in Bronx New York. The musical itch first scratched at the age of 12 when she and her sisters,cousins and friends would sing for her grandmother who was sick.
She wrote her first song and rap at 12 a song called *Be Mine*. She left her ambitions to take care of her family and focus more on reality than her dreams.
At 18 she and her best friend started a rap group in Pennsylvania called *5411*...
Her best friend was gunned down 6months later. That put her heart and dreams on ice.
After fighting depression and confusion Shelly left Pennslyvania and went to Schenectady,New York. She had a sister,aunt,uncle and cousins living there. Seeing her cousins Jay and Chris living rap..*rap all the time,rap in the bathroom, freestylin waiting for the bus..all the time was rap*gave her great motivation and encouraged her to focus on her dreams.
She went back to the Bronx........
2 days later she was in a studio watching like a hawk.....waiting patiently for the day her true spirit would rise and she would become a soldier for the fight to hold hip hop*
With the encouragement of friends and love she moved to Europe,proving to be the best move she'd ever made-
She had time to focus on herself and her dreams..
Writing proved to be her greatest therapy.
She is currenty recording and performing in Europe and based in Düsseldorf,Germany.
With accolades collected in all corners of the world she only has to wait for the chance to be exposed to the world on a larger scale.
And when that day comes she will be ready*
