About Me

Magical Trevor 2
What the hell is a Technohippy???
1. a computer nerd with hippy ideals
2. there are cyberpunks and script kiddies, but technohippies are a breed of their own. they are not malacious, but only interested in the way things work. usually not the "l33test", (in terms of knowledge of a specific area), but they have a broad wisdom of many different technologies. the favored music of the technohippy consists of (but is not limited to): post-rock, electronica, ambience, eccentric cultural music, and any other obscure music. technohippies are often very philosophical, but are open to new ideas (as long as they are somewhat intelligent). ignorance and hatred is looked down upon by the technohippy, and some may even be a bit cynical. all in all, a technohippy is a philisophically-open eccentric geek.
1. look at those technohippies, marching for their rights to share music
2. i am not a hacker. i am not a cyberpunk. i am a technohippy.

Confessional to D Wayne Love
I thought it was about time I did a Technohippy version of this to match the Rodent's one so here goes... :-)
And after three days of drinking at Stadt de Vynel, I just get an inkling to go on home. So I'm walking down Waterhouse Lane, head hung low; three or four in the morning; the sun's coming up and the birds are out singing. I let myself into my block. Wend my way up that concrete staircase, into my pad and stretch myself out nice on the Technocouch of Loveliness. M.O.R. Drivetime already on the CD player and I push that button to salvation. And I listen to the sweet, cultural rhythms of Alabama 3. D Wayne evangelises and and Larry and Devlin Love sing like they're at the tabernacle and the sound makes its way into my head, mingling with the noise of life, you know, and all of a sudden I'm overcome by a feeling of brief mortality. 'Cause I'm getting on in the world. Coming up on thirty-six years. Thirty-six stoney, grey steps towards the grave, you-know, the box, awaits its grisly load and I'm gonna be food for worms unless they just roll me up and smoke me. And just like Charles Mingus wrote that beautiful piece of music 'Epitaph' for Eric Dolphy. I say "so long D Wayne, so long Devlin and Larry, so long old purple tin, so long Johnny Cash and The Eagles, so long Rodent51 and David De Vynel. Woke up this morning..."

My Interests

There's the Technowedge!
..Then there's the bay
..... and the golf :-)
..

I'd like to meet:

When you woke up this morning everything was gone.
By half past ten your head was going ding-dong.
Ringing like a bell from your head down to your toes, like some voice trying to tell you there's something you should know.
Last night you were flying but today you're so low - ain't it times like these make you wonder if you'll ever know the meaning of things as they appear to the others; wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers.
Don't you wish you didn't function, don't you wish you didn't think beyond the next paycheck and the next little drink?
Well you do so make up your mind to go on, ‘cos when you woke up this morning everything you had was gone.
