A little update...
Well, I got somewhere with the new profile page but apparently if you have Internet Explorer 6 then you don't get to see the picture of me in the bottom right - time to upgrade to IE7 or Firefox, me thinks. ;)
You'll notice as well that I've added a 'Dirty Eighties' music player. I'm not sure how often I'll actually change the tracks as I've put some of my personal favourites up there. To be honest, something that has been a favourite for 20 years is unlikely to change but I do have a lot more favourites that I could put up.
For those of you who are interested (and I know you all are) the playlist is an edited down version of the playlist from one of my Dirty Eighties Drivetime shows from Radio VZi at Action 2005 (I think). The full 30 track playlist has spent little time out of my CD player back at 'de Vynél Towers' as I think that that show in particular, in which I interviewed The Modern and Gary Le Strange, was my favourite radio show of all time - and that includes the 150 odd podcasts I did, too! Anyway, I digress.
So lots of things are going on and the profile is nearly finished at which point I will turn my attention to the new sites at www.DaviddeVYNEL.co.uk and www.DirtyEIGHTIES.co.uk . It's been a while since I've had to design and build my own stuff so it may take a while but, hey, I'm looking forward to it. You'll also notice that I've added a few gigs. Now these are with my partner in crime at Planet Vacant, Jensen D Groover, and follow a more late 70s vibe than dirty eighties but some of them this year will be proper eighties gigs. Hey, if you think I'm not doing enough eighties gigs then you could always book me! :) So that's about it for this little letter apart from to say that I recommend you all wander along to one (or all) of a few club nights in London.Probably the best night in the world ever is Festival of Sins where there is all sorts of debauchery and I even make an appearance in cameo as the Rev. Bitumen Hoarfrost. If you do go along to any of these nights then tell them I sent you and if I happen to be there make sure you do come over and say 'hello'.
With Electronic Love,
DdV.
Hey, play my game!
