About Me

First of all, if you are just another chick trying to peddle her "free" pics, save yourself the effort. You gotta bring something more than that. Bring me something I haven't already seen a dozen times this week or stay at home.
And don't be asking for AIM until I know you are not psychotic. I'm not an ass (alright, not usually), but I have been mistaken for one. ;-)

Clubs & Stuff

Graflin has been DJing since the early days of Acid House. After witnessing the emergence of one of the States' most musically influential scenes in Orlando, Graflin returned to Memphis to jumpstart the scene there. Now known as the "father" of the Memphis Scene, Graflin began in 1988 playing early US and British Acid House at a small club on historic Beale Street. Since then, he has owned three influential clubs, held residencies at many more, started a radio mix show, and as co-founder of SoundShock, organized some of the first underground parties in the Southeast US. In addition, one of his SoundShock parties was featured in the rave documentary "Generation of Sound."

Graflin's name quickly became synonymous with underground House in Memphis. In May 1989, Graflin started The Hitchhiker's Dance Guide on WEVL FM 90. Not only was this one of the first radio shows in the US to feature underground House and Techno, it is now the longest continually running underground House mix show in the US. In 1990, Graflin opened Memphis' first House club, Ozone.

Since then, Graflin has quietly racked up an impressive list of releases and remixes with many of his tracks appearing on various compilations.

Graflin now splits his time between his US club residencies and bookings, his overseas bookings, and music production. Articles in Germany's Prinz, Bremer, and Big magazines, reviews in the UK's DJ magazine, and bookings at Miami's Winter Music Conference, Berlin's Love Parade and Love Express as well as numerous other appearances in Germany have only served to increase his popularity.

Graflin's natural talent as a DJ has been sharpened by years of experience in clubs and events all over the world. His ability to energize the crowd through his sets is inspiring. But foremost, his immediate connection with the dancefloor is apparent from the first record he plays.
