I am a realist about life, and love. I believe you can't have one without the other. Blame it on the Pisces in me! I am a free spirit, with creativity being my core. By day I beat the corporate path, but on my off time I am a social activist, writer, and a poet. I am here to network with other activists, poets, writers, of books and screenplays.I saw a lot of pain and suffering in my community and decided that I didn't want to wait around and see if things would happen, I made them happen. Therefore, for the past 4 years I have put on Spoken Word benefits to raise money for different non-profit organizations. The two major issues I rally for are Domestic Violence, and HIV/AIDS awareness. I also directed the Vagina Monologues,**PUSSY POWER**So, as you can see I am very opiniated, a bit of a feminist, as I am not one to take anything sitting down. To be a women is indeed a gift, so I don't take it for granted. Once I realized my worth, it was on and popping! While I like to make money, and have nice things; I realize there are people who are less fortunate. Where I have perfect health, there are people who are suffering, with no voice. So I will be that voice, as we all should be! So for all of the injustice be the change you wish to see in the world!

My Interests

Social causes, and people who stand up for them.Hey President George Bush:Every day, the 2.5 million people chased from their homes in Darfur face the threat of starvation, disease, and rape, while the few lucky enough to remain in their homes risk displacement, torture and murder. Therefore, we call on you to do the following: Strengthen the understaffed and overwhelmed African Union peackeeping force already in Darfur.Push for the deployment of a strong UN peacekeeping force.Increase humanitarian aid and ensure access for aid delivery.Establish a no-fly zone.

I'd like to meet:

Activists, poets, writers, musicians, underground musicians, publishers, artists of all types. Positive individuals, walking in the Spirit. People who are making a change in the world one day at a time.

Independent films! Bollywood, I love Sundance, the channel especially, The Devil wears Prada, Bridget Jones 1, Memoirs of a Geisha. Love Jones (of course), All Kung Fu (especially the oldies, where the sound doesn't match their lips!)

Television:

Grey's Anatomy , Okay, I'm guilty of reality television as well, Heroes, and Deal or No Deal.

Books:

"What is the What," by Dave Eggers is a thought provoking, autobiography about a young boy coming of age during war time in Darfur. I urge everyone to read this. Finance magazines, and books.

Heroes:
