Christoph Mangler, born 1974 in Leutkirch (South Germany), is a director, photographer, editor and graphic designer. He studied "audiovisual media" at the HDM Stuttgart with focus on film, video, computeranimation and graphics and entered the music video business in 1997 as assistant director at DoRo Berlin. In 1999 the directing team TWODIRECTORS was established together with Mathias Vielsäcker, first represented by the berlin based film production BLOW FILM. Since this year Christoph, a.k.a. DerMangler, realised more than 50 music videos for German and international acts as director, for example: THE RASMUS, APOCALYPTICA, SUCH A SURGE, CALIBAN, MNEMIC, TAPE, EMIL BULLS, KEILERKOPF, 4LYN, SINCERE, KLEZ.E, FEHLFARBEN, ENIK, SURF, PAULA, BIZ MARKIE, CURSE, ASD, ITALO RENO & GERMANY, DJ STYLEWARZ, LAURA LOPEZ CASTRO, GERMANY, RENO, WERLE & STANKOWSKI and BONAPARTE.

In parallel Christoph works as teacher at the "German Film School for Digital Artists" in Berlin, as editor and camera operator for music videos and documentations. But that’s not all:Photography ist his second passion. The first photography book CITY LANGUAGE BERLIN (128 pages, dt/eng, ISBN: 3-7913-3610-X) was released in march 2006 by PRESTEL (international release: summer 2006). It’s a photo documentation about the „back side“ of Berlin like never seen before, a tribute to the fantastic and never still standing capital of Germany. First photo exhibition in may 2006 at DESIGN MAI YOUNGSTERS in Berlin (www.designmai-youngsters.com).
