I'm an OTR truck driver, divorced, grandfather, goof, romantic. Enjoy movies, TV,(and trivia about both), reading, sports, kids, music, life. Tuba player for over 40 years. Live in Las Vegas now; from northern Indiana for 33 yrs. In my mid 50's and I look kinda like Santa Claus in the off-season (since I grew back my beard). Large sense of humor!(Since I'm new to this, I'll probably add more later as I get the feel of what belongs here) :)

My Interests

Movies, movie stars, TV, Trivia (Love Jeopardy!) And I'm pretty sure I'm smarter than a 5th grader. Also sports, grandkids, books, computers... :)

I'd like to meet:

Jennifer Aniston, Kate Beckinsale, Jenna Elfman, Stephen King, Emmy Rossum, George W., Tom Hanks, Maria Bello, Colin Powell, David Ortiz, Lou Piniella, any member of the KC Chiefs, Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox, or Boston Celtics. Also Peyton Manning, Jennifer Connelly, Ashley Judd, Sam Elliott, Tom Selleck, Matthew Perry, Gary Sinese, more... To name a few. :) I'd like to not only meet John Williams, I'd love to play tuba for him in an orchestra. Would probably be the highlight of my musical life!!

Music:

John Williams' Music!, Classical, Pop, EZ, Bigband Swing, Jazz, R&R, pretty much everything but rap/hip-hop. Oh well...

Movies:

Any quality romantic comedy (like Notting Hill, Man's Favorite Sport, What Women Want, Pillow Talk, or Someone Like You, etc.), slapstick comedies, subtle comedies, drama, action, blockbusters (like Pearl Harbor, Titanic, etc.), horror, the new batch of comics-to-movie, James Bond type stuff, etc. Whatever catches my eye in the video store. Also, HARRY POTTER. Too cool. Also...the LOTR.

Television:

lots of syndicated comedies--Friends (!), Cosby, Mash, etc., some Medical (have fallen for Grey's Anatomy--sooo good!), some Cop/police dramas, lots of quiz shows. And, of course, Sports, sports, sports. (Hey--I'm a guy!)

Books:

IT by S. King (plus most of his others), any Louis L'Amour western, any Prey novel from John Sandford, any fantasy by David Eddings, and of course...The Lord of the Rings. Also all of the Harry Potter stories. Hope J.K. has more books in mind for the future...I've also recently discovered the "historical context" novels like DaVinci Code, authors Dan Brown, Matthew Reilly, Tess Gerritson, Tami Hoag, Kathy Reichs (really good!), many others...

Heroes:

any VietNam vet, Powell and Schwarzkoff, Carl Yasztremsky, George Brett, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Charlie Brown (therefore, of course, Charles Schulz), Roy Rogers, the Lone Ranger, Jennifer Aniston (admire the heck out of her for her courage and integrity facing the media frenzy during her personal nightmare of betrayal/divorce etc.), my Mom and Dad, Santa Claus. I believe in "good guys".
