I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I know that I am not flashy or famous or 20-something or the center of attention. I can be quiet and sometimes serious. Like anyone else, though, I enjoy being with family and friends. What I can offer is sincerity, a teddy bear heart, and an ear that will hear both your joys and your troubles. Sometimes, my silliness or humor will show through. In a subtle not showy fashion, I am unconventional in some aspects. I like having friends that I can talk to, and I particularly come out of my shell when it comes to favorite things, subjects, and interests.

My Interests

animals, anthropology, art, board games, books, cats, childfree, chinchillas, crossword puzzles, dining out (casual), Disney World, Disneyland, drawing, films, geocaching, hanging out with friends, key pals, libertarianism, (some) live local music, movies, museums, music, the 'net, psychology, rabbits, reading, Super Nintendo

I'd like to meet:

People I can just be myself around. Those who are genuine. Fellow proud pet parents, especially cat people. Movie buffs, music lovers, avid readers, Disney fans, or others who share common interests and likes. Old friends that I have lost touch with due to school graduations and/or moves. I find that many of the people I surround myself with happen to also be childfree and/or HSP, though those qualities certainly are not a requirement. I am open to exchange and new friendships with anyone who might have something in common with me, but please allow for a proper introduction first. (I am very likely to ignore and/or delete "blind" friend requests.) Thanks!

Ought to watch Audrey

Finally saw He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not.  Don't read the reviews for this one (or even the back of the DVD case), just watch it!

(Not just) kid stuff

I know I have found some good reading material when a book has an entire chapter dedicated to Disney parks and their grown-up fans.

I don't even watch Powerpuff Girls, but I think that The PotterPuffs are cute.

Hazard

Exercise is good for you, but there can be risk involved.  Usually that risk is stated as sprains and such.  I have a cat that has decided that the very best place to plant himself...

Selected shorts

I recently read and loved Ant Farm.  Funny, funny stuff.  "Stadium Proposal" particularly struck a chord with me, as I'm sure it will for any woman named Jennifer!

The cradle will rock

There's a new music series that I find intriguing.  Who wouldn't have their curiosity piqued if they came across something billed as "Lullaby Renditions of Nine Inch Nails"?  (That's one of ...

Vice versa

Another entry in the interesting-or-funny-things-seen-while-driving catalog: Often when you see dogs in cars, it's the image of the dog gleefully sticking its head out the window. ...
