Brandon Tyler has been active in the Sacramento music scene since 1999, performing both as a solo act and in The Brandon Tyler Band and Mazzy All-Stars. During this time, he has played large and small venues in Sacramento, Roseville, Lodi, Modesto, San Luis Obispo and Orange County. He has also opened for Better Than Ezra, Berlin, The Romantics and Endeverafter. Listeners of Clear Channel's KOSO (B93) radio station in Modesto are quite familiar with Tyler who was a regular Friday night on-air guest for much of the past seven years.
Growing up in Lodi, Tyler caught the music bug in his early teens and segued his passion for producing ultimate mixed tapes into prolific songwriting, adding melodies on both guitar and keyboard. Likened in style and substance to Jackson Browne, John Mellencamp and John Mayer, the 25-year-old singer-songwriter has built a likable reputation in Sacramento with frequent live shows where he entertains with playfulness and humor as well as guitar and song.
Tyler's songs, like his stage persona, are full of personality. He crafts relatable stories into sing-along tunes and delivers them with a pure and energetic voice. After recording a few singles, Tyler has now released his debut EP titled "Something About Dreams". Recorded at The Pus Cavern in Sacramento, the six-song collection of pop-rock songs includes two seasoned songs and four brand new tracks.
