My Interests

I love to read. Cooking out in the winter is wonderfully romantic with the right person and I get a real kick out of yard sales. I can dance 'til I drop, with or without a partner and I loooovvvve to eat. I can put it away. I'm 5'7" 130 lbs. and I burn off calories quickly because it's hard for me to sit still. I'm not really a "party girl" but I do love to work a room when I'm in the mood to be an international superstar (in my mind). I like to be outdoors as long as it's not too hot. I consider myself a gurly girl so I have to admit that I get into the stereo- typical gurly things ... shopping for shoes, getting my nails done (I can be vain as hell) etc.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet all sorts of people. I don't have the patience for ego-maniacs, jack asses or crazy people. That's not gonna work and someone WILL take a beat-down. I do not appologize for that, so you need not even think about checking me out if you've got game.I think it's a good idea to put that out there from the door.I love creative people. I make my living as a "Wedding Singer" (no laughing:-) so I'm around different personalities all the time. I love it. I want to meet people who are outgoing and ambitious but not showy or pretentious. That's not fun. I love children, so anyone with kids is always welcome in my world.I feel at my motivated best when I'm around someone who's a bit unconventional and can think outside of the box. This doesn't mean kwirky and irresponsible. On the contrary. Someone who's focused and confident with being who they are is what I mean. I need to be with those who can share their world and take an active interest in mine.

Music:

My musical tastes vary with my moods. I like everything but "head banging". It's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.Rufus & Chaka Khan - Please Pardon Me (You Remind Me Of A Friend)

Movies:

I fell in love with the movie "Legends of The Fall". "Crash" left me speechless, and I loved "How to Lose A Man in 10 Days". It cracked me up. Generally you have to almost tie me down to get me to sit through a whole movie. I get up to go to the bathroom (like) 8 times. NEVER EVER take me to a movie with sub titles unless there's an arcade in the lobby ... kidding (sort of).

Television:

I don't watch much TV. I'm a little into Gray's Anatomy (only because my sister makes me feel like a big trader when I don't watch it) and I watch Desperate Housewives. I get stuck on some reality show from time to time (like The Apprentice). They're like a train wreck.

Books:

Ok shoot me - I do like fluff. I'll admit it. I like love stories. I could tell you why but then you'd know way too much about my business at this early stage on "My Space" and I'd have to shoot YOU ;-) I loved a book called "Mama Day" by Gloria Naylor, and one called "The Cotillion" by John Olliver Killens. Someone should get the rights and make a play out of it. It'd be a hit. Maybe I should do it ... Any volunteers like to work on that idea with me? I keep "The Prophet" by my bedside and "The Prayer of Jabez". As far as books go, I'm pretty open. I just don't enjoy murder mysteries. Violence isn't entertaining to me. It's one of the reasons I don't watch much television.

Heroes:

My Father, My Son, and My Sister. My Mom is also a very proud "Sistah"
