April 2005.. The talented drummer Raffael Weissensteiner and his childhood friend (almost brother) Manuel Oscar Mayr, a fabulous guitar player, were thinking about forming a band..
So they invited Adil Baktir, who plays the bass, to their rehearsal room..
And this was the moment where the magic started flowing..May 2005.. They played endless jam sessions which lasted for hours and hours and many songs resulted from those sessions. They had to come up with a band name, so they called themselves The Motherfunkers, sexy but in a funny way..October 2005.. Mira Lu Kovacs blessed them with her wonderful voice, a nice contrast to the exciting and powerful sound of the The Motherfunkers..
Together they started working on writing songs with vocals..January 2006.. The skillfull DJ David Reichl a.k.a. DJiDeer Fly Fever added a little bit HipHop into the sound..
And it all became perfect when Tenor and Soprano saxophonist Patrick Kummeneker a.k.a. tRicky P.noy, Alto saxophonist Leo Skorupa and this silent but amazing trumpet player called Andreas Ragger joined the group..
As a result, the sound of the band became distinctive..
The Motherfunkers were completed!..finally..Present Day.. Just Listen.
