V-Gaz

V-Gaz Allways liked any kind of beat and decided to buy some DJ-gear in 2004, at first he checked out lots of different paths in electronic music; downtempo - house - techno/electro - breakbeat - drum'n bass. But after a while he decided to go further with drum'n bass only, as for him it was and still is the most powerfull/energetic music till now. At first his selection was allways dark, heavy & rolling but after a while he discovered some other things in drum'n bass and noticed that also the softer side of dnb could be heavy on the dancefloor! Nowadays his taste goes more to the broken & minimal sound but he allways tries to combine them with different flavours while keeping an eye on the crowd. Later he met Hookerz and after some talks and beers they decided to play once together, after that they allmost never played solo again. They also formed Chinatown kru together with Ebbman. In 2006 V-Gaz got asked to join the STEAM-team, which was for him a great way to meet other people and change thoughts with them.
Hookerz & V-Gaz both came from different backgrounds. V-Gaz was already checking out other kinds of music like; Techno, House, Breakbeats, etc... And slowly got into drum n bass also, especially buying and playing the harder stuff by then. At that time Hookerz was more into the softer, smoother kind of drum n bass, playing sets with big summervibes. Shortly after they got in touch with eachother they both got to know the deeper end of drum & bass, from the softer side to the harder part. So teaming up was only a logical result for them, they played out everything as long as it contained deep big basslines and quality controlled beats. From then on things went pretty fast for them, being invited at famous places like; Decadance, Culture Club, Der Machine, Musicafé, Petrol, ... where they got the chance to play next to DJ's as; Digital, Lomax, Blu Mar Ten, Infiltrata, Prolific, Nymfo, The Untouchables, Dobe 'n' Daze, Juice Blender(s), Rudy Rocket, System-D, Wontime, D.A.R.Y.L, Sensonic, Ebbman, ...

Lately V-Gaz got back to the production side, and is now also DJ'ing & producing dubstep as "Gaz". With his older love for any kind of music he is creating a combination of minimal & progressive techno/house influenced dubstep, spiced up with some trancy vocals or pulled up with ravy sounds for the future. Also throwing the bi-weekly dubstep parties at Decadance (Ghent) called "Pull Up" together with Billy B & Madlock. Watch out for this as there will be more soon!
