Evair Costa Santos (Heavy Evy) was born 1987 in Gothenburg (Hisingen), Sweden. But he has his roots in Cape Verde Islands, from which his parents originate from.Music has always been around Heavy Evy when he grew up as a child, but it wasn’t until he turned 12 that the love for hip-hop grew to be strong.
This was also the time when Evy started to write poetry that soon became songs. While others actually would perform on stages, Evy however was determined to develop his lyrics before hitting any stages which made him develop his own ways to express himself. But this was something Evy didn’t take seriously until he turned 18, when he guest appeared and laid a verse on a friends album and since then he has been going at it and taking it seriously.So be on the look out for Heavy Evys sharp minded and metaphorical word plays in his lyrics and his songs in the future.
