The streets have been raving about 16-year-old sensation and Memphis native rapper Cannible. Cannible whose real name is Jacobe Benton started his career with underground rap artist Mista Ian. Most known for his hit singles “Walk It Like A Dog” and “Monkey On A Stick”, Mista Ian released a mixtape in 2005 entitled “On Everything I Luv”. The mixtape would release 50,000 copies region wide and featured Cannible on three tracks. From there Cannible would go on to perform at Memphis In May and Africa in April. Cannible also has ties with Roca-Fella executive T Money who would introduce him to Philadelphia’s on, Freeway. Freeway quoted, “Jacobe will be the next big rapper to come out of Memphis”. After battling Rell in freestyle Cannible, Rell, and M Dot would form a legion called M.I.C Gang. As time progressed Cannible would go on to meet Dipset’s youngest in charge, JR Writer. Cannible says, “I respect JR because he was willing to do a track with me when no other established artist would.” Fabolous’ protégé Freck Billionaire also acknowledged Cannible’s talents. After the Unsigned Hype Mixtape, which was hosted by JR Writer himself, Cannible would go on to perform at the Craigmont Talent Show. At the talent show Cannible would diss a rapper in which whom he doesn’t want to mention. Cannible received triumph as well as criticism for his actions. Since then Cannible has moved on stating that, “These dudes beefing but aint nobody getting no money in the process”.
