Born in Maine, DJ Puschkin was always very interested in music. At a young age he was exposed to many different genres. When he was younger, he listened to anything ranging from 80s hair metal bands to 50s classic rock-n-roll. He grew up in a small town, the oldest son in a poor family. There was no money for extracurricular activities like music or sports. He had always enjoyed music, but he was never afforded the opportunity to take any lessons. He joined the US Army in the spring of his senior year and left for basic training in the fall after graduation. After basic training, his first permanent duty station was Baumholder, Germany, where he spent a lot of time going out with friends to different clubs and bars. He quickly fell in love with European dance music. He bought a lot of European CDs and spent hours listening to them. After Germany, he was sent to Oklahoma for a few years. In 2003, DJ Puschkin moved to Texas, and started to use different programs on his home computer to mix his own music. He did it for himself, but he always loved sharing things. He showed family and friends what he had done. He just considered it something of a hobby. In the winter of 2003, he decided to take a break from making the music. He had a lot going on and needed to change his focus. In the summer of 2006, he decided he wanted to share the music he had made so long ago, again. He signed up for a music account on Myspace.com. He shared the few songs he had made. People seemed to generally like it, so he decided to make some more songs. He quickly fell back in love with making his own music again. He worked hard on a few more songs but was very busy with other things. He is still working on a CD for his fans and tries to post new songs when possible. He recently got a ringtone on Cingular that can be downloaded.
DJ Puschkin lives in Spring, TX with his fiancée and their son. His biggest musical goal right now is to finish his CD. After that he plans on working toward doing live shows in the Houston area. Hopefully he will have a large enough fan base to draw a small crowd to any shows he can do. He will be using whatever money he can get to work on buying new equipment for working on more music.
DJ Puschkin would like to thank all of his fans for their support and he is very thankful for the comments and messages he receives everyday. Please understand that he can't always answer them right away. Also, his myspace mail currently isnt working, so he will need to respond by leaving you a comment.
