Band Biography
The story of Telemakaya begins back in 1999, when Adam and Levi began jamming together in various bands. In late 2000 these two boys went and recorded their first EP entitled Immune.
The band that is now known as Telemakaya was formed in early 2004 with the goal of concentrating on writing songs. We wanted to get back into the swing of things just playing together and seeing if we could still write good songs together.
Adam and I decided to add Chris "Hed" Anderson as our bass player as we had worked with him before and he was already a mate. Chris had "the right sound and skills" for our style so he was added him straight up.
At the end of 2005, the boys came to the conclusion that their music was missing something, enter Boudicca guitarist Kane "Kano" Strangwidge. When we were thinking of who else should we get in the band and Chris and I both said Kane cause both of us have known Kane for a long time and he is and absolute killer guitar player and killer on the keys. The first time we jammed with him the songs that we had always wanted to write we just like their, flowing straight out of us, within the space of 3 hours we had written two songs, and in my opinion the best that we had ever written.
The end of 2006 also saw the end of Telemakaya with Chris and Adam both leaving to pursue other committments.
We are now pleased to annouce a new line-up and vision for Telemakaya. Veterans to the Orange music scene, Daniel Murray (Slave 1) on Drums and Evan Jackson (Steel wool, Mad salmon) on Bass have been added to the new line-up and we are taking a step away from our old sound and aiming for a more traditional hard-rock/metal sound.Story and Interview By
