The Heave are a Power Groove band from Sydney. They are LOUD. They have recently won the Kool Skools band comp (www.koolskools.com.au) being awarded the JB HI-FI scholarship, placed 8th in the MusicOZ Awards 2006 out of thousands of entries, won best song at Jambodia band comp, won best rock band, best alt. rock song(Give Me Life) & best male vocalist at the Kool Skools award night Sydney, included on an Alpine Audio Australian Artists cd, came third at Autumn Beats-Sony festival, and came top 5 out of 60 bands in the Chris Gray recording artist comp (very very cool). They are also a regularly played local artist on JJJ, Triple H Radio-and various other stations. Recently, they were also a featured artist on Triple J, and featured in the Sydney Morning Herald as an up and coming artist(Page 11!) here .
They have metal songs such as 'Pure Power', 'Give Me Life and 'The Cure', Rock 'n Roll songs such as 'Crank It Up', 'Get it Hot', 'Fistful of Love' and 'Power of Possesion', 60's tunes like 'As a Gentleman Should' and softer songs such as 'Shut You Out', 'Alawa' and 'Switch'.
