About Me

THE NEW GODS is a band. practicing since dec 15, 2005. They presently have around 35 songs under their belts. The band consists of whoever is needed for the song. The writing members presently are Elvan Penny: guitar/lyrics, Billy Pilgrim: bass/ guitar /vocals/lyrics.... These two fools have been writing original stuff for over a year getting ready for the New Gods. Along with them, a growing host of other musicians have added to the project, including Tim Howard/drums/155mm howitzer,Mark allen/ drums 12oz curls, Nathan Hale: vocals/ banjo/guitar, Cindy licious /keys/ vocals. The band looks forward to sharing what they have created with the rest of the world. Influences: Anything and everything. The idea behind the New Gods is to try to always play good music, at least in our own opinion, and to play many different kinds of music in the process. This not to be self indulgent, but a way to find something that is hopefully unique and possibly more honest than just looking for a niche or market to fill. The bands tastes and influences range from Kenny Burrell to Slayer, from Merle Travis to Particle, From Peter Tosh to Roy Buchanan. . . How does it all fit? We're still finding out.
Sounds Like: Whatever we want it to.As of now, we do not have electric music available for our myspace friends, however we have alot of it, and it's coming soon. Our electric originals consist of everything from slow jazz to death metal. I'm serious. All of us have a wide array of influences, which we hope to show in THE NEW GODS.
