About Me

If you could combine the subtle vocal presence of Brian Mcknight with Alicia Keys' edgy piano rhythms added with a dash of Boyz II Men's harmonies & John Legend's soulful melodies, you would have Ace WOnder & ILL Gaimez. The multi talented, duo (pianists /singers/songwriters/producers) intend to take R&B back to it's roots by drawing their inspiration from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Bob James, Babyface, & Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Both natives of a pre Katrina New Orleans, Ace Wonder & ILL Gaimez were mentored by the legendary Jazz musician, Ellis Marsalis (famed apprentices also include Grammy nominated Irvin Mayfield, Oscar Nominated Terrence Blanchard, & former Tonight show music coordinator, Braford Marsalis.) The self contained power team, Wonder & Gaimez (or MF'Ntertainment) have opened for such acts as 112 & Carl Thomas & have produced, remixed, & been in the studio with not only various Cash Money & No Limit Recording artists but also with Bay area soul sensation Goapele & New York's premeir femcee, Jean Grae. Their list of accomplishments extend beyond the realm of Hip Hop & R&B as the two upstart musicians have also created the entrance theme for the New Orleans / Oklahoma city hornets, creating the music for Warrick dunn's website (the Atlanta Falcons Pro Bowl running back), & are slated to score the upcoming motion Picture "Game of Inches." Having recieved praise from such industry heavyweights as Bryan-Michael Cox, Tony Rich, & Claude Mcknight of Take 6, it's obvious that Ace Wonder & ILL Gaimez are the eindustry's best kept secret!
