About Me

I live in Vancouver British Columbia (Canada). I am an office administrator by day and in my free time is spent with my four legged furry friends. I'm overall a huge animal lover. The Larsen Zoo consists of 2 parrots, 3 dogs, a fish tank and several bunnies .I breed and show English Lop Eared Rabbits. They are a really wonderful pets. They Love to be held and are very affectionate. They are a large breed, ranging from 9 - 12 pounds on average.I have litters and young adults available occassionally. Breeding stock is from Champion lines from top Rabbitries across the states. I only breed registered animals and all are championship pointed. I will ship across Canada and have been successful with WestJet and Air Canada.One buck currently in my barn is the son of the Guinness World Record holder for the longest ears. Nippers Guiness's ear span was officially measured at over 31 inches! Owen's hasn't quite made his daddy's span, but at 29", Owen stands out on the show table. I look forward to adding Owens into my breeding program in the near future.Contact me if you want more info on my english lop rabbits! I am a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association and the Lop Rabbit Club of America.Now for the rest of the HERD! Our parrots, a macaw and an indian ringneck are named Max & Brie. Both are approximately 10 - 12 years old. We adopted these from families who could no longer care for them. We've only had max since january 2006 and he's really coming a long way. He was never openly affectionate and prefered staying inside his cage. In less than a year, we've got him counting with his claw - up to 5 or 6 on good days. His favorite reward is peanuts and sunflower seeds. He now enjoys watching the world outside from on top of his cage, sits on our shoulder and recently has allowed us to stroke his back and scratch his neck and his wingpits :-D He even likes kisses on the cheek! I also am very involved in dog training. I'm working a young shepherd in the sport of Schutzhund. That's like police dog training doing tracking, obedience and protection. A very competitive and intestive sport. We have 2 old Rottweilers (Cooper & Bea) and the Shepherd's name is Brando - who I like to call the BEAST. The rotties are retired from show and competition, but Brando is currently training towards his Schutzhund 1 title.I'm married, with one grown son and I also enjoy making wine occassionally and love to garden.
