I entered another contest! So if you weren't satisfied with 4th place on Canadian Idol, then here's another chance to help me win....Generation B is a contest celebrating youth and their individuality, through Bootlegger Canada. One contestant will be chosen by vote to represent bootlegger's back to school promotions and have the honor of being the face of Bootlegger for a year, with a grand prize of $10,000...
I will be doing a few "in-stores" in Kamloops and Salmon Arm over the next few weeks and am always into meeting new people, so come on down!
Voting takes place between september 13th and october 11th. All you have to do is go into a Bootlegger store anywhere in Canada and pick up a ballot, bring it home and vote online with the ballot number.
It would mean the world to me to win! It would make production of my new album possible, as well as taking a course I've been dreaming of, and of course any money would help a single mother out with the costs of life...

Suzi and her father Billy kick-started Suzis musical journey by jamming....With Suzi on teething rings! In fact, they still collaborate today and it's a lovely thing.
In 2000 Suzi graduated from high school and went off to Ireland to explore the scene there and record a demo at Ritchie Buckley's (sax/ Van Morrison) studio. An opportunity to meet Bono and The Edge while in Ireland, proved to be a major inspiration for Suzi. From there, she spent some time in the Caribbean, sailing, writing new songs and playing some cool island venues.
After a stint teaching funk and swing performance dance in Montreal in 2001, Suzi headed back to British Columbia. In 2002 her first band was born. "Suzi Rawn and the Rascalators," played summer festivals, nightclubs and other local/regional gigs Fun times!! A CD titled "On My Own" was released in 2002 to conclude a whirl wind 1st year on the outer reaches of the music business.
In late January 2004 Suzi decided to draw on the energy of some local B.C. musicians. Matt Wiebe had played Bass in the Rascalators. Jon Treichel a long time mentor, player of guitars and other stringed things plus Craig McKay on drums. Now what does that get you, one may ask? Well how bout one "King Size Suzi". The band headed right for the studio, to work on their originals and eventually released two indie CDs... Green Eyed Monster, and Because Of Love... They toured Western Canada for some time and built a promising fan base And then, Suzi auditioned for Canadian Idol.Suzi Rawn, Canadian Idol Season 3's fourth-place finisher and rock chick extraordinaire, took some time after the competition, to ensure she had chosen the best possible team to begin the next phase of her musical journey. She recently joined forces with Mission Controls James (Jim) Campbell for Management. Campbell also manages Idol alumni Kalan Porter, Melissa ONeil and Rex Goudie, but more importantly, hes always been a huge believer in the gifts and talents of Suzi Rawn. Campbell adds, Suzi is the real deal! With her solo debut, Suzi stays true to her musical roots and influences, but brings a strong contemporary edge to the songs, that along with her uniquely passionate and energetic performance style, truly sets her apart from the pack. Idol fans so loved what Suzi delivered each week, that her final performance garnered a million votes!Suzi also enlisted internationally acclaimed songwriter/producers Harry Hess and Pete Lesperance. The album was recorded in the late spring of 2006 at Vespa Studios in Toronto. Suzi wrote or co-wrote 4 songs on the CD and plans to increase her contribution next time out. Its so cool, recording with people like Harry and Pete. We worked hard, but we also remembered to play hard too!Suzis major label, solo debut is entitled Naked and features Suzi doing what she does best and she does it with the passion, energy and commitment the industry and her peers expect from a Real Authentic Rawk Chick! Songs such as, Bet You Like Me, Broken and Overrated are defiant, in your face rockers, while Raw, Understand You and the title track Naked, show a unique vocal and emotional vulnerability.Suzi is stoked about her debut, set for Canadian release Oct 10/2006. The album will be preceded by a single, Naked, to radio and video. The journey will continue with a national tour this fall and international release in early 2007. Im so excited to perform these songs live! Its so personal I just love the live connection! Suzi plans to hold onto her beliefs and values throughout this journey, including her home in the interior of beautiful British Columbia.The time is now for Suzi Rawn! She wrote her first tune at the age of eleven and after a short hiatus called (something like) growing up It appears shes written her first of many hits, at the ripe old age of 22!"I'd like my career path to begin a bit of a revolution, reminding people of the peace, love and respect for humankind that was fought for, back in the sixties," ..
