Présentation

Afrhostil(prononcé afro-hostile) est la contraction du mot "Afro" ( pour nos origines communes) et du mot "Hostile" (par rapport à notre état d'esprit au moment de la formation du groupe). Même si le côté rageux et agressif du groupe (dans nos textes de rap) s'est un peu estompé au fur et à mesure des années pour laisser place à un rap plus mature, le nom du groupe quant à lui n'a jamais changé car il est celui qui nous représente le mieux. Afrhostil for life!!! Le groupe est composé de Kenzi, Sheik.M et Gestorm (tous les trois MC's). La force du groupe réside dans l'originalité musicale. Le but du groupe est d'une part d'offrir à l'auditeur une autre vision du rap, libérée de ses stéréotypes, moins ghettoïsée tout en gardant l'esprit Hip Hop et d'autre part, faire voyager l'auditeur. D'où cette constante recherche d'innovation que ce soit au niveau du son, des flows et des thèmes abordés. Afrhostil c'est trois MC's, la forme est unique et le fond identique soit un même triangle avec trois côtés différents.

Presentation

Afrhostil (pronounce it “Afro-Hosteel”) is the mix of the word “Afro” (for our common origins) and the word “Hostile” (referring to our state of mind when creating the band). Even if the furious and aggressive side of the band (in our rap lyrics) grew progressively blurred with the passing of years to let room to a more mature rap, the name of the band never changed as it is the one that represents us the best. Afrhostil for life!!! The band is composed of Kenzi, Sheik. M and Gestorm (all three are MC’s). The strength of the band lies in musical originality. The aim of the band is, on the one hand, to offer to the listener another vision of rap, freed from its stereotypes, less ghettoised while keeping the Hip-Hop spirit; and, on the other hand, to take the listener away. Hence this constant search for innovation, that it is in on the level of the sound, the flows and the approached themes. Afrhostil, it is three MC’s, the form is unique and the substance identical, namely a same triangle with three different sides.
