The main drag of downtown Fort Lauderdale's Himmarshee Village can sometimes be a bit overwhelming. To seek refuge, head down the side street(Moffat St) and find solace at The Voodoo Lounge. The Voodoo Lounge is located at 111 S.W. 2nd Ave(also known as Moffat St) in the same building that once housed the infamous Independence Brewery. On the weekends, the crowd is a mix of everyone from visiting men in uniform, packs of singles looking to make a hookup, to couples, and the occasional celebrity appearances the caliber of, say, Dennis Rodman. Opening on March 2nd of 2000 to a record crowd, The Voodoo Lounge has been going strong and shows no signs of stopping.________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ The nearly 10,000 square foot venue is undeniable one of Ft.
