FUTUR EKO... it's... ...it's a COMIC BOOK!!!!

About Me

These are some images from "Futur Eko", the upcoming Photo-Comic from WAJA Comics. Futur Eko is an adventure/superhero comic, in the classic tradition of the Doctor Who or Wonder Woman series. It's meant to be action-packed, sexy, character-driven and smart. Well, knowledgable anyway.
...And fully photo-illustrated.
In Issue number one, the Futur Eko team goes up against an ancient, evil force, seemingly emanating from the earth itself. Whatever it is manifests itself as floating creatures or automatons, loosely assembled from ordinary rock. Are Castillo, Fareeda and Diz-E up to the challenge?
I'll let you know when I finish editing it.
Me, I'm just a guy trying to become at least competent in writing, photography, layout, design and publishing. And PR.

Secret Identities

You may notice that our heroines are never shown in their street clothes. Not that they don't own street clothes, but more importantly, they don't have secret identities. What! Superheroes without se...

Castillo

Castillo is, of course, the driver of the action in Futur Eko, and in that sense, the leader of the team. Castillo will always be first to plunge headlong after a monster or villain, even before the r...

Boulders of the Damned

I've tried my hand at science fiction before. Aliens and Time Travel were themes I would generally avoid, because, like superpowers, they can be invoked to set up the stupidest consequences. And like ...

Fareeda

Dozens of gorgeous actress/models auditioned to play the role of Fareeda. Her character is probably the most like myself, someone who delights in the interconnectedness of stuff, and would love the ch...

Costumes

As mentioned earlier, the colors of our heroines' costumes were chosen somewhat arbitrarily. I was thinking about the primary colors of Red, Green and Blue. Fareeda's burgundy catsuit is a nice variat...

Diz-E

I wanted a group with varied powers, like the Fantastic Four. One of the powers I thought would be easy to showcase using the Chroma Key [green screen] process is flight. The aqua color scheme and the...

Merge Down

When I worked out the details of Futur Eko, I made the decision to have three superheroines, played by three models, who could be filmed in separate photo-shoots. There are three advantages to this te...

Back to Page One

For me, the beginning of the creative process is very exciting, manic almost. Ideas come at breakneck speed, such that you have to fight them back. I think you have to be a little brain-damaged to be ...
