NEWS FLASH!!!Some cause for alarm but rest assured we are strong and full of gumption.. However, Utrophia Ltd is experiencing no shortage of challenges at the moment.
We are currently in negotiations with the sisterly local charity Cor Blimey arts, that might possibly take us under their wing this wet summer. This would plug the leaks whilst we struggle on with our own application for charitable status.
As a not for profit organisation that is run by volunteers ( and young artist volunteers which maybe the worst kind) we have existed for so long on our and your merit, energy and creativity. Since the move from Greenwich, we have come under Lewisham Council and they are squeezing us rather alot harder than we’ve been squeezed before. well. Of course! They do. But just to keep the wider circle informed (for once) that Utrophia is in rough waters.

The New Utrophia Summer Programme
The New Utrophia Summer Programme is well underway- we are now hosting our third show ‘Moving Paintings’ By Rigsby Smith. An minimalist exhibition of films around the space; ink moving through water to Stockhausen-esque soundscapes. Smith had also devised structures for group improvisations which were grandly executed by all on the opening night. Yet again the musical highlight; Sculpture performed for his inaugural performance at the new utrophia project space.
Thankyou to everyone that came down. The show has been extended until July 26th when we shall have a closing event so save the date.

which will soon be available to download was launched by Utrophia stalwarts Hamilton Yarns and an enormous chocolate guiness cake made by Jono and James .. Some ad hoc arrangements of Alma NoFears songs still managed to shine through the cacophony of enthusiastic accompaniment
