..Health and wellness is my passion. Getting fit. Getting to know people from different cultures. Art. History. My family history. Travel - would love to do more. Theatre and film. The current state of the church in the UK!! Fascinating subject. I'm a Christian and a member of a local church, but I find the culture of the church a challenge, having lived in poorer parts of London and been a member of what you could describe as an Afro-Carribean pentecostal church. I'm very interested in gardening but I hardly ever get round to doing it. Same goes for decorating - great plans but FTI (failure to implement). However I am growing and eating my own vegetables this year. Peas, mange tout, climbing french beans, zucchini, squashes, tomatoes, lettuce, and for the winter, brussels sprouts and purple sprouting broccoli - if the nasty little caterpillars don't eat all the leaves!!
I'd like to meet:
When I was young I had lots of penfriends around the world and since I've been on the internet I've been searching for the opportunity MySpace is giving me. Please read my profile before you add me - it's very revealing! If you want to add me, ask me a question or make a comment about something you have read here. Just so I know you are for real!
Read my story . Add me if you are interested in wellness and tell me how I can help you.
If you are dissatisfied with your life, your income, your job, and you are looking for an opportunity to be your own boss and realise your personal and financial dreams, then watch the video - Herbalife intro, on this page.
To find out more about me and what I do check out my business website - www.cdshealth.com. I don't place many bulletins, some are personal, a few are invitations and if I really like something one of my friends has sent me I might forward it, but if you don't like my bulletins, then PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, just delete me from your friends.
Is Johnny Depp living in or near Bath? Yes he is - or at least he has a home here. As does Nicholas Cage. I'll let you know if I bump into one of them in Waitrose. I'd love to bump into Rod Stewart because I have a great story I want to tell him. You can find it in my blog.
There is a very good reason for every band and musician I have in my friends list. They might really be my friends, I really like them, or I've been to one of their gigs and I want to know when and where I can see them again. Bands are blocked, but if you think I might like you, send me a message.
My best friends on myspace are those who give me encouragement in my daily life.
I DO WANT TO MEET OTHER HERBALIFE DISTRIBUTORS because your stories inspire me. I DENY MOST REQUESTS FROM MLMers AND PEOPLE WHO WANT TO SHOW ME HOW TO MAKE MONEY ON THE INTERNET, BECAUSE THAT IS NOT MY FOCUS.
Music:
I designed my kitchen to accommodate a wall mounted CD player and speakers. I sacrificed cupboard space!! Classic FM is set to come on to wake me in the mornings, then blues, country, rock, salsa… anything that moves me, makes me want to dance, lifts me or speaks to my spirit. Music is the only art form that can dispel pain. My favourite instrument is the saxophone and it feels so good to hear James play when he is home. I'll enjoy lots of music genres if they are live, but wouldn't necessarily want to buy a CD. On that note I really enjoyed a private Elton John concert in Atlanta Georgia in April 2005. ASK ME HOW YOU COULD HAVE BEEN THERE WITH ME!!! What a great entertainer. I wish my husband could dance. However, when I hear him play blues on his fender strat, it more than compensates. I like Rod Stewart, but contrary to what my granddaughter says, I DON'T fancy him. His voice makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. Bob Dylan is a genius and I like to hear various interpretations of his songs, especially Joan Baez and Barb Jungr.
Movies:
Suspense, political thrillers, true stories. Classic novel adaptations. I enjoy the experience of watching a well crafted movie, something that makes me think or moves me. What would I sit and watch if it was just starting on the telly, I'd seen it more than once before, and it's in James's DVD collection which I can raid at any time? Lord of the Rings, Schindler's List, The Insider, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, The Witness. I also love to watch movies with Al Pacino, Johnny Depp, Harrison Ford. Just because they are great actors. The film I most recommend right now is THE LIVES OF OTHERS. When I saw it the cinema audience applauded at the end. Awesome!!
Television:
We have an old one. It doesn't really suit the new decor. We are blessed in the UK with some great TV. DR WHO! Love it!! Documentaries. Costume dramas - the BBC production of Charles Dickens Bleak House was a masterpiece of television. Jane Eyre was brilliant too. The Apprentice, because watching those guys makes me feel better about myself. Hate Big Brother and the like! Don't watch soaps but I would if James or one of his friends lands a part in one!! I've become attached to The Bill of late. I like comedy - TV, radio or live. Why is it, when you've seen endless repeats of Only Fools and Horses and you know the script - you laugh out loud at every gag! I listen to the radio a lot Classic FM, BBC Radio 4 and BBC7.
Books:
We have so many, I designed our dining room around the bookcases. The Bible - I wrote a guide for children which you can still find articles on the internet but it's sadly out of print. Would love to find a new publisher for it. I read books about health and business. My recommended book for all is - NO MORE HEART DISEASE by Nobel Laureate Dr Louis Ignarro. If everyone followed the down to earth advice in this book, then we really would see an end to many diseases of ageing. And it's NEVER TOO LATE TO START!!
