Opened in February 2006, The Pocklington Gallery is a small independent commercial gallery with an aim to support up and coming and established local and regional artists by offering them the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work.Staffed entirely by volunteers who are practicing artists The Pocklington Gallery is a little gem in the city which has a wide variety of traditional and contemporary hand crafted arts and crafts, including painting, jewellery, ceramics, sculpture, photography and hand made cards from over fifty different artists.Already featured as one of the best places to shop in The Leicester Mercury's "The Week", The Pocklington Gallery has also planned expansion to have space available for solo exhibitions, with an opening scheduled for the beginning of September.Artists interested in getting involved in anyway are encouraged to do so by either leaving us a message here, or emailing us at,[email protected]
