DJ Entreat has been fascinated with djing since the age of 15. The radio contributed to the fascination, the more mixes played, the more he was interested.
By the age of 17 he was buying new wave/modern rock records, and starting what would become a large collection. He has always wanted to start djing but didn’t know where to begin and didn’t know anyone that djed at the time. By the age of 26 he decided to give in and purchase equipment. He had put aside all of his other interests to pursue this new hobby.
Unfortunately he didn’t have any experience with music. After he got his turntables he thought he would be able self teach himself relatively quick, but that wasn’t the case. He began reading any information he could find and luckily had friends who were musicians that could help explain musical structure. He began recording himself and spending countless hours practicing.
