Summer 2008:
Six week tour for November/December of this year beginning immediately after the Fest 7 in Gainesville, FL. If you live anywhere and wanna book or play a show, get in touch. Forcefield Records will release all of our recorded material to date on vinyl this fall in time for our travels (yea, it'll fit on one record). We're recording a full-length mid-winter for a spring '09 release. More details as we get 'em.

"I had only heard of this band and never actually had the opportunity to listen to their music until I was able to see them. Honestly, I was dumbstruck by how excellent they were...it was not only me who reacted this way as many people who witnessed their performance promptly lined up to purchase their music - yes, purchase their music."

"This takes me back to a time of discovering exciting new sounds in the underground scene that really blew minds...bands unhindered by genre and expressing endless enthusiasm for just playing great music. City of Ships are hard to describe and easy to enjoy, both great things."
-- Exclaim!
"Richmond migrants City of Ships return with another mind-altering four-song EP...these guys are doing the shoegazey+heavy combo justice, and not just re-hashing out the genre leaders’ latest albums like most players in this game...Fans of Tool, Isis, Neurosis, Godspeed You Black Emperor, and other bands of this caliber, take note."
-- Robotic Empire
"Never have I experienced such an immense wall of sound out of only three players. City of Ships are proof positive that playing in a weak band is never acceptable."
