I am here for Friends

About Me

So if you know me, you know I like bright colors and shiny things, I'm really into music and I advocate Jesus. I like encouraging people, but sometimes I'm the one that needs encouragement. I particularly like to encourage men to be men. Like true godly masculinity, which has more to do with character than anything else.
I get around on a Yamaha Zuma 50cc, my bicycle that David Yapp got for me from Craigslist (good chap), Nate's awesome green 70's van (just like I always wanted) and sometimes the bus.
I used to run a hospitality house for touring bands called Grandma's House. There's a myspace for that too. My friend BL is in charge of that now.
I'm getting married soon to the guy who has been my best friend since Aug 04, Mr. Destroy Nate Allen. I hope that makes me Tessa Destroy. That's a cool rock and roll name.
I like tattoos alot, though I currently only have one.
How do they know these things? I AM midnight!

You Are Midnight
You are more than a little eccentric, and you're apt to keep very unusual habits.
Whether you're a nightowl, living in a commune, or taking a vow of silence - you like to experiment with your lifestyle.
Expressing your individuality is important to you, and you often lie awake in bed thinking about the world and your place in it.
You enjoy staying home, but that doesn't mean you're a hermit. You also appreciate quality time with family and close friends. What Time Of Day Are You?

My Interests

Jesus, punk rock, counseling/healing. I like befriending people in bands. I like helping people feel welcome and loved. And I like helping people deal with the emotional/relational garbage in their lives. I like helping people get to know Jesus better. When God touches people it makes me happy.

You Are Incredibly Logical
Move over Spock - you're the new master of logic
You think rationally, clearly, and quickly.
A seasoned problem solver, your mind is like a computer! How Logical Are You?

I'd like to meet:

Captain Malcom Reynolds, C.S.Lewis, a time traveller, Sy Rogers.

HowManyOfMe.com

There are
0
people with my name
in the U.S.A.
How many have your name?

So the last name I've been trying to get rid of for years is what makes me the only one in the country!?!? There are 30 Tessa Allens. I'm going from one to one of thirty! Oh well, at least I know how to say "Allen" and everyone can spell it right.

Music:

Ballydowse, Headnoise, Danielson Famile, The Havoc, Social Distortion, Guns'n Roses, Murder City Devils, Half-handed Cloud, (Mid)ZAO, Blaster the Rocketman, The Remnants, Chow Nasty, The Psalters, Destroy Nate Allen, Hammers of Misfortune, Munly and the Lee Lewis Harlots

I miss spirit-filled hardcore.

I like listening to people I'm friends with.

Movies:

Lady in the Water, Serenity, Bride And Prejudice, Dummy, Matrix, Return of the King (but I'm not a LOTR freak like everybody else), Signs. The Terminator movies speak to me about destiny.

Television:

I don't have a TV that gets much reception. I easily become quite the TV addict when it's too readily available, so it's better this way. I hate reality shows.

If I had the SciFi channel I would have watched The 4400 and Eureka.

Firefly.

Books:

C.S. Lewis' space trilogy- Out Of The Silent Planet, Perelandra, and That Hideous Strength.
Flannery O'Connor- Parker's Back (a short story),
Mario Bergner- Setting Love in Order,
Anything by Madeline L'Engle (fiction and nonfiction)

I once burned a Tim LaHaye book. It was a very punk rock moment. That inspired my mom to burn a stupid book, which inspired someone else to burn the same stupid book. Way to break taboos and start a revolution of reducing the world's consumption of drivel!

Heroes:

Sy Rogers

Humble

I wrote this last Wednesday. It's still true, but I feel better now. My diminishing number of facial piercings reveals the liberties the Lord has granted and recalled. It has been said "The best ...
