About Me

ModErN LoVE mOdErN lOvE moDeRn LoVE
* Born in a small town in france michael fitz set sail across the sea as a young boy. His parents dragged him from the east coast to the west where they finally settled in the land of endless sun and falling stars. Music was his first love and he cherished it. He Sang every night till he fell asleep. time passed, music school came and went and he became an adult. He played in many bands enduring the fable of the music scene in Los Angeles. He was praised and booed and still he went on. Eventually his heart was broken by the cold stares of men in suits so he decided to write songs for movies and found other people who inspired him to work with. He produced tracks for THE CHAPIN SISTERS, LADYTRON, NORTH MISSISIPPI ALLSTARS and MOUNT SIMS. Eventually he met Chris Seefried from LOW STARS and JOE 90 and the two found an instant connection and mutual respect and Michael new it was time to write another record. He asked chris to produce the record and MODERNLOVE is the fruit of that labour. With a lot of help, favors and the extra mile from many people they were able to record an entire independant record. The record is a mixture of folk, rock and great songwriting that grows with each listen. Some of the great players and engieers of today worked on this record; Chris Seefried, Dave Bianco, Joey Waronker, Zac Rae, Abigail Chapin, Don heffington, Dave Immergluck,Mickey P., Sheldon Gomberg. They've just finished the record and are now starting to play out live with dave gibb from the gigolo aunts, blair sinta from pedestrian, jason nesmith from Nancy boy, gary derosa from Joe 90 and of course the amazing chris seefried and michael fitz.
