I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I’ll just ramble on a bit with no forethought here, and leave it as it turns out.
Firstly, despite myspace saying I am living in Kyoto, I do not, nor ever have lived there. There seems to be some sort of f#ck up or conflict between the English and Japanese page versions which causes it to change my location each time I change the language. I live in Aichi, Japan.
I was born in Australia. I spent the first half of my life rather regularly moving from one state to the next, occasionally within a state. I then made the move to Japan for three to six months of drinking/partying a little over a decade ago….and I’m still here. And yes, still drinking. As frequently and as much as possible. Bourbon by choice, but anything other than beer and sake will leave me feeling more than satisfied. Oddly enough, I have lived in Aichi prefecture (like a state back home) longer than I ever lived in one state of Australia.
Having said I am Australian I feel the need to point two things out. No, I am not a descendant of a convict. And no, I am not a bunyip. Though I do tend to live by the motto “Never do today what can be done tomorrow”.
My main interest is kakutougi. K-1/kickboxing/MMA etc. I enjoy reading and writing about it. I attend and try to photograph most FEG events (K-1/HERO’s/MAX), and as many PRIDE events as I can manage to get to. I run the site www.kakutougi.info and http://forum.kakutougi.info/ with a mate, and we have quite a group of writers and enthusiasts helping out.
Oh, comments by anyone are welcome, but any images that throw the whole layout off balance will be deleted. No offense meant to anyone, so don't take offense if yours goes missing.I do a few things for work so my hours are rather hectic and I’m usually on the go. I love this though as sitting behind a desk 5 days a week would cause me to become suicidal. I spend a heap of time traveling every day though so fill it with listening to music/audio books and doing some reading. Guess that’s about it.

My Interests

Drinking. As I have said, bourbon is my choice. Four Roses Premium is my #1, but I usually settle for Black or Jack Daniels when times are tough. Having said that, living in Japan is great for those civilized adults that like to tip one or six back, as grog is general is cheap as hell. Also as mentioned, pretty much any martial arts (other than that gay Taekwondo shit), and their professional versions. I moved the Japan the year K-1 started and was immediately hooked, so it is what I enjoy the most. Also reading, watching movies and the general crap everyone puts in these boxes.

I'd like to meet:

Anybody that doesn't take life to seriously. And preferably people that know how to have a good time.Genki's Final Entrance
