About Me

I am a 56 year old psychiatrist from Japan. One of my important professional goals is to incorporate spirituality into my clinical practice of mainstream "scientific" psychiatry.

I was a foreign student at Berkeley in the late sixties. Those were turbulent times in America with racial riots occurring in all of the major cities in the Unites States. The country was at war with Vietnam. But there was also an outpouring of goodwill, especially among the young. It was during these times that the significance of spirituality came under review.

Returning to my home country, Japan, in my early twenties,I first sought the essence of spirituality within the framework of my church, the Catholic church, but as days passed, I began exploring other paths of spirituality.

My pursuit of the spiritual continues to this day. I am hoping to meet spiritually oriented and open-minded people here at MySpace. I want to make MySpace into OurSpace. Friends from all over the world, let's do it together.
