I am not Steve Irwin, nor do I pretend to be. I just wanted a good myspace page that would pay tribute to a great man. I saw all the other myspace pages, and they were not accurate. I have Steve’s biography with me as I try to show you people what a great man he was.
Steve Irwin was born February 22 1962 in Essendon, Melbourne, Victoria. To a Robert and Lynette Irwin. He has two sisters’ names Joy and Mandy. As a child he was constantly around wildlife. His mother, a nurse, was keen on mammals, and his father, a Plummer, was all about the lizards. Together the family raised and helped orphaned and hurt animals. Soon enough they purchased some land that would be a reptile park, in Queensland in 1970.which eventually became the Australia zoo. Steve Irwin graduated from Coloundra State High School in 1979. He wasn’t much of a social person. He spent most his time instead catching snakes, lizards, birds, and anything else you can throw at him. Once he attempted to bring back a cooler full of red-bellies back from school on a bus, he made it home successfully, but only to have his father scream at him when he got home. Due to endangering all the other kids lives on the bus. Steve says that that lesson is what taught him responsibility, and made him the man he is today.
Growing up at the park, there was never a boring moment for Steve. All his playmates were animals, including a brolga, and a curlew. Of course he loved his dogs Chillie, and those crocs. Steve Irwin jumped his first Australian saltwater crocodile when he was only 9 years old. And that is what started his great crocodile saving, jumping, loving career. In his biography he says he was quite the skilled croc jumper by the age of 12.
So as years went on Steve was out in the Aussie bush for months at a time. Catching Crocs. Then come home to the park to work with more animals. He gained so much knowledge that in his later years he would publish many transcripts for scientific purpose in the studies of lizards, birds, mammals, and other wild life. One of Steve greatest finds was an Australian turtle that hadn’t been found or documented yet. He even had the honor of naming this turtle after him. It is now knows as the Elseya Irwini, or “Irwin’s Turtleâ€.
Then one great day Steve was doing a crocodile demo. And there happen to be the woman of his dreams in the audience watching. She had made the trip from Eugene Oregon with some friends, and happen to come upon this little reptile park. And decided to go get her wild life fix. They had a great connecting moment at first sight. And started their great relationship. Terri Raines Had captured his heart, and he hers. Steve and Terri married in 1992. And their honeymoon started the TV series known to us as “The Crocodile Hunter†Together they would film several documentaries, and change so many people lives. They did so much that I don’t have enough room here to write it all. Then on July 24, 1998 they gave birth to their first child Bindi Sue Irwin. And another child was born to them December 1 2003. Named Robert Irwin.
Then one horrible day Steve was doing what he lived for. Studying wildlife. When a stingray pierced him through the chest with its poisones barb. The day it happened was September 4 2006. And Steve Irwin will never be forgotten. He has accomplished more in this world than any human will ever dream of. He has changed the lives of countless millions, and not to mention the lives of billions of animals. Steve Irwin is survived by his wife and two kids. They will continue his legacy, and the zoo will always show one of the many great things he has accomplished. CROCS RULE!!!!!
