autodealer is matt richter. previously of the band final transmission, and currently of the band lanfair field, autodealer serves as an outlet for the really long boring multi-effected guitar/piano/tape hiss 3 a.m. wanderings and other assorted madness. the most recent effort, "ghost me" was available in two different editions (the regular old standard edition which is still in print and a fancy shmancy uber limited edition, which is now sold out). previous recording "stephen foster is on the cover" is no longer available (but if yr really nice, matt may make a cd-r for yous since he's cool like that).
since taking on the moniker autodealer in 2001, matt has played shows with the swords project (rip), maserati, mono, timonium, and more than a couple of shows with treluna, which was really fun because bobby (formerly of final transmission, llllllll, powerline, dispatcher, treluna, belamy embrace, pirate radio and currently of lanfair field and bobby mcelver) and matt play together a lot, both separately and together as lanfair field. if this all seems rather confusing and absurd, don't worry. it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me either.
autodealer is currently in a state of flux. i hope to continue writing and recording, but live shows are doubtful for the forseeable future. i'm just gonna go ahead and call autodealer a studio project and hope that I'm able to resume my duties with Lanfair Field sometime soon.
