Lanfair Field is currently working on original soundtrack music for various plays in the Los Angeles area. The band consists of songwriting duo Bobby McElver and Matt Richter, who have been creating music for theatre since 1999, as well as performing as a two-piece band. In 2006 they released an a six song ep called sopor and plan to release a full-length album later this year. Matt also does lighting, sound, and all things technical for theatre.
Recent work inlcudes original music for the following plays:
Elephant Theatre Company's Asleep on a Bicycle
Just Dreaming Productions' House of Yes
An 11:11 Experiment's The Playground (including a song re-worked into a musical number)
Theatre Revelation's 2 by Sinner at the NYC International Fringe Festival.
We've also done music for various short films, dance ensembles, and even the California Dept. of Fish and Game.
Related projects: autodealer (matt) and the paper ballet (bobby). See below.

Not really an update

We're still on hiatus. But, if all goes according to plan, we will be having some shows this summer in California, and possible some shows in Oregon in the latter part of the year. This is all leading...

Bobby's thoughts: Acoustic Aphex Twin, evolution of music, etc.

In response to Matt's recommendation about the Alarm Will Sound CD, I agree. For those who don't know, it is an entirely acoustic tribute to Aphex Twin, performed by a 20-piece classical ensemble from...

Matt Relief

So. As we all know, Matt was already in debt up to his eyeballs. Now let's just say that we're closer to his hairline. And it's all your fault. Yep that's right. Matt is in the process of paying off...
