My father was in the Airforce, so I have lived in Texas, Turkey, Arizona, New Mexico, England, South Carolina, Virginia, North Carolina, and now Georgia. Atlanta has been home for 12 years. The place I wish I never would have moved from is Englad. I miss it every day of my life and one day I will be back..I love my family and friends (they are family). I am a Cancer survivor..I believe there is good in everyone..laughing until you cry, crying until you laugh, there is humor in everything, dancing until sunrise, knowing when to walk away, learning about other cultures, countries, and then making informed decisions, never passing judgement on another, killiing people who may not like you with kindness, trusting your instincts, reading to open the mind and imagination, knowing that everyone has a soundtrack of music for their lives, there is an artist in all of us, knowing that you will make mistakes but family and true friends will still love you, and last, but not least, keeping an open mind about people and the world around you..

My Interests

Art, Music, History, Literature, TV, Movies,..Traveling.. Painting, Music, and Literature are what keep me alive... I love to paint even though I may never find a paintiing of mine hanging on a wall anywhere but my place (except for friends homes), I enjoy the creative freedom...Below are 5 of my paintings...

I'd like to meet:

Cool artistic people.. I'm not here for a romance, as I have my man already..

Music:

My all time favorite band is Depeche Mode with The Cure as a close second. I would be hard pressed to name a favorite record of either, but I would guess Songs of Faith and Devotion and Wish. I know they aren't the ususal choices, but hey..I know what I like.... Morrisey, the man who sees humor in the mundain and can always make the depressed feel uplifted through irony (spelled rite?).... Trance music, Deep House, and what ever does not sound like the same back beat repeated for 8 hours at a club my friend Alan knows what I mean... I love The Verve and wish that Bitter Sweet Symphony never would have been THE song played on the radio as it overshadowed the better songs from that CD.. The Cult was an underappreciated band in this country, some of the best music written. and She Sells Sanctuary is one of my favorites.. I am a secret punk rock girl and know that I could have kept Sid alive, but i was born to late.. Unfortunately, I don't indulge myself with my music loves the way I should.. That will be changing.. Anyone remember Catherine Wheele and Stone Roses?? How in the hell could I forget about New Order?? What is wrong with me?? Forgive me please and know I have True Faith and am glad I don't have a Bizarre Love Triangle (good movie if anyone saw it). Echo and the Bunnymen, Kate Bush (Hounds of Love and Running Up the Hill, and Wuthering Heights), Tori Amos, The Church, Yaz...of course, Guns and Roses, Zepp, Pink Floyd, Prince (Contraversy), Smashing Pumpkins, OMD, Iggy Pop, Butthole Surfers, Blackflag, Doors, Cream, Elvis, and the Beatles.. Dream concerts; Beatles, Elvis, Hanging backstage with the Lizard King, Pink Floyd doing The Wall, and I am sure I am forgetting some people....but Barry Manilow puts on a good show..and I would love to see Madonna again and just hang with her for 15 minutes..

Movies:

Old moveis and Documentaries, Wings of the Dove, Great Gatsby, Splendor in the Grass, Queen Margot, Valley Girl.. Out of Africa, Officer and a Gentleman, James Bond (still think Roger Moore was the best Bond), Platoon, Godfather 1 & 2, Sid and Nancy, Me without You, The Lover, and most movies that have to do with unrequited love.... and I love the movie Xanadu..

Television:

I admit it, I love watching TV.. from sitcoms, to realiity, to history... I flip channels.. I even like cartoons.. Fairly Odd Parents, Jimmy Neutron, and Sponge Bob makes me laugh like a kid again...oh and if I happen to be awake at 5:30 AM, I like the Bananna Splits..

Books:

I love to read anything that has educational value or not..but I won't read the romance pirate crap... Next time you are in Whole Foods or Barnes and Noble, do yourself a favor and pick up the magazine Mental Floss...trust you will be entertained and will learn something usefull. I have a collection of books sitting in boxes right now because I don't have anywhere to put them..I miss seeing them out..but one day I will have a room with books and mags everywhere with a window seat to sit and read... them.

Heroes:

Anyone who can express their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, by writing music, novels, poems, movies, or create paintings of wonderous beauty that never go out of fashion..Also, Mom and Dad...My brother for living through what he has to become the son and brother he once was..and my friends who every day are who they are..plus, each is there for me when I make mistakes and love me anyway..
