..Fueled by passion since an early age, and inspired by electronic music pioneers Depeche Mode, New Order, and the like, Brave New World began making music in the early 90's, and by 1993 the band would release their first full-length album Primal. It was an album that featured lavish keyboard arrangements, cutting-edge guitar licks and compelling vocals.Armed with an innovative sound and unmatched energy, Brave New World hit the local music scene. They would play a variety of venues as varying from several thousand seat dance clubs, university concerts and the more intimate settings of pubs and benefits.The enthusiasm the band poured into its music was easily translated into their live shows, and Brave New World would quickly become one of the must see bands in the Detroit area. The Oakland Post would label them as one of the few techno acts to succeed in translating the live energy of their recordings to a live performance.The Oakland Post was not the only one to notice and the band would soon be signed to one of the foremost electronic music labels: A Different Drum.In 1996 the band would re-enter the studio to record their first album with A Different Drum. Understand would be released in early 1997 and feature a more mature, and a more developed electronic sound. Understand delivered Regret, Touch, and Nothing, which were several of the bands most memorable songs. Regret in particular would quickly became a fan favorite, and along with Winter Song, would receive widespread radio and club play throughout the US and the world. The band followed up with an extensive US tour that culminated in one of their most memorable performances at the world-famous Whiskey A Go Go in Hollywood, California.After wrapping up the Understand Tour in 2000, the band returned to the studio to record Groove Thing, the bands most mature album to date. Fans had waited three long years for the bands next offering, and this album would surely not disappoint. Groove Thing was released internationally and quickly received acclaim throughout North America, South America and Europe.The first single released from Groove Thing featured several outstanding remixes of both Apologies and Drug. These two songs would lead the way in the bands surging popularity, and they would soon find themselves playing to thousands in the United States and South America.
