Central Dallas Ministries

I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

In the spring of 1988, the Preston Road Church of Christ (PRCC) began a storefront food pantry for the poor. The effort quickly revealed that hunger was a symptom of deeper issues associated with poverty. That observation prompted church members to think about how they could attack the problems of poverty in a more comprehensive and systemic way.
Thanks to the early commitment and generosity of PRCC and the initiative of PRCC member and Dallas business leader Jim Sowell, CDM has grown into an expansive community development organization with a network of overlapping programs originating from many different sites. Offering a variety of programs throughout Dallas as well as San Antonio, CDM is responding to poverty’s many expressions.
Central Dallas Food Pantry, d/b/a Central Dallas Ministries, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization operating under EIN #75-2332948. Each year, we partner with thousands of our neighbors to improve their lives, families and communities.
