i have bipolar disorder and deppresion but when i smoke weed i am level headed and happy. so why isnt it legal
also we have less and less farmers each year, i believe if we "introduce a new plant" (well, a plant that has been here forever) it would create jobs and its one more thing to tax (the people who dont grow it). a whole new export and import cause lets face it if america makes it legal the rest of the world will want in on it too. new profesions, sciences about marijuana such as cloneing and effient ways to grow/feed, new breeds and and styles of growing. there arent that many glass blowers in america and bowls and pipes would be in more demand if it was legalized. also the seeds have alot of nutritional values , it could be used as spices. it could be packaged like cigarettes or pipe tobacco which means more jobs and companies. and what about the negative, lets face it most people smoke to get high and driving while high isnt the easiest thing to do. it does effect the brain, but much less than alcohol and most perscriptions. its not like u can OD on pot alone.
it would reduce crime cause there wouldnt be weed dealers and drug deals gone bad (that have to do with weed). and it would be harder to get hard drugs cause from personal experience u need to know a guy who knows a guy and one of those guys is the guy u buy weed from usually. also since weed is illegal people have to risk it, sometimes going into the not so great neiborhoods or putting yourself in danger cause alot of money is on the table u kno.
so i felt like writing this because i didnt feel that this site had enough stuff on it so that my two cents let me hear yours.

but, the government should not be able to tell us what we put inside ourselves, and what we do in our spare time
this is not about getting high, it is about freedom of choice
ok, maybe it is partly about getting high, but, what are the real gateway drugs, marijuana, or cigarettes and alchohol
i smoked cigarettes and drank alchohol years before i even saw marijuana, and let me tell you, alchohol is far more dangerous than marijuana, and cigarettes kill so many people a year. studies have shown that lung cancer is not related to smoking pot. i'm not saying don't smoke cigs and drink, but if these are legal, shouldn't marijuana be also. Please join our cause if you feel that these laws are unjust and need to be changed and if you feel that you are being denied your rights. It is unconstitutional to make marijuana illegal. Now if you read everything i just said and completely disagree with us, please don't waste our time complaining. We will respect your opinions if you respect ours. Just agree to disagree.

its not a drug unless u make it one. i'm all for smokin everyday but u cant let it rule your life or else it is a drug. like if u dont go to work cause u wanted to smoke and u keep on missing out on life
