The Black Bottle Boys

Depression-era sounds to make you feel good

About Me

"Black Bottle"--from 1930's American Depression-era folk slang. If you counted yourself amongst the penniless and homeless, the last place you'd want to be while sick or injured was a hospital--they had a special medication for your kind, out from an unmarked black bottle and that would be the end for you. Here and now in the New Millenium: Niko & Friends present The Black Bottle Boys, an American roots project mining the sounds and ideas of times and culture past. Not just the traditional blues, gospel, country, swing, bluegrass, folk, and early rock n' roll, but also original compositions as well as renditions of contemporary artists recast into earlier styles. We hope you enjoy--live performances are in the works! ..
