Who the hell is Zillah Rook?

About Me

Me: I'm a pop culture fanatic and costume addict with so much love for it that I volunteer my services at great comic shops like Comic Fusion in Flemington, NJ. I've also made appearances at New Moon Comics in Little Falls, NJ. Appearances coming up for 2008: *April 18-20 - NY Comic Con (pics in gallery) *April 26 - Hunterdon Medical Center *May 8 - The Star Ledger in Newark *May 17 - American Legion in Flemington *May 30 - Wizard World Philly (possibly) *Sept 7 - Comic Geek Speak Supershow in Reading, PA (possibly)

Reviews and Interviews by me Check out DynamicForces.com for some of my reviews of comics and collected work and interviews with creators.

Zillah Rook (pronounced with long "i") is the creation of a disturbed woman from New Jersey. She might be an alternate personality but science is now saying that there is no such thing. Maybe that means she's a supernatural being trapped inside a human's body.At the moment, Zillah Rook is a mutant who fights evil in Paragon City. She has security clearance to level 50. Her powers involved transformation of evil energy into helpful energy and is classified as a Dark Defender.Zillah Rook is closely affiliated with Amber the Tech Support Stylist from Feedback's campaign and Sally Stryker. She is currently involved with Night Fyre and partners with him to fight crime.Trivia: What color is Zillah's hair?Even she doesn't remember. It changes often.

I only have one rule for posters - if your HTML graphic hogs my screen it will get deleted. Be reasonable and keep your images to 200px wide preferrably less.

As a married woman, here's the approved list of celebrities I'm allowed to sleep with (if you haven't seen the Friends episode that started this, you have been living under a rock): 1. Seth Green 2. Bret Harrison 3. Amber Benson 4. James Roday 5. Jason Lee

I'm pimping out my other comic/art profiles below:
Comic Vine (http://www.comicvine.com/myvine/Amber/) - for blogging about comics and tracking pull lists, this site is so much fun! You'll get lost in it for hours.
Costume Blog (http://herofashions.blogspot.com) - my blog for creating costumes particularly superhero things and other sewing stuff
BookCrossing (http://www.bookcrossing.com/mybookshelf/amberlorien) - my bookshelf for what I have available to trade and my catalog of my permanent collection
Stumble Upon (http://elizabeth-amber.stumbleupon.com/about/) - my profile for the viral "digg" type of site.
ComicSpace (http://www.comicspace.com/amberlove/) - the "myspace" for comic book fans which is far superior to the actual myspace garbage. If you love the superhero and zombie movies that have been made, if you're an artist or writer, or if you're just a general fan of the genre, move here.

My Interests

paperback mysteries, paranormal anything (real or fiction), holistic therapies, geeks, City of Heroes, G4 Attack of the Show, I love comic book art even though I can't draw.

I'd like to meet:

Celebrities/Actors/Entertainers: Oprah, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Atherton "Feedback" (did it!), Chris Watters "Major Victory" (did it!), Amber Benson, Seth Green, Joss Whedon, Alyson Hannigan, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Justin Hartley (who has made the Green Arrow even yummier)

Writers: Susan Wittig Albert (for more than a book signing), Laura Childs, Cleo Coyle, Lilian Jackson Braun

Fictional: Batman (I crush on a fictional man. That's life.)

Music:

Powered by Podbean.com Michelle Branch, Avril Lavigne, Enya, Blue October, All-American Rejects, The Fray, Jason Mraz, Moby, Madonna, Pink, anything with a good beat so I don't lose my pace on the elliptical

Movies:

X-Men, Spider-Man, Hellboy, Constantine, Practical Magic, Jaws, Predator (There was no sequel. Do you understand?), Batman Begins (and only Begins)

Television:

I watch way too much.
Cartoons: JLA, JLU, Batman TAS and the new one, W.I.T.C.H. (prob. my fav right now), Static Shock, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, The Life & Times of Juniper Lee (she rocks!)

Books:

Pretty much exclusively paperback mysteries. Favorite authors: Susan Wittig Albert, Laura Childs, Cleo Coyle, Lilian Jackson Braun
Occassionally I pick up a holistic self-help book and actually read it but I own a lot that sit there getting dusty.
Comics: I highly recommend Black Summer and Amazons Attack.

Heroes:

My parents.
My husband who has had to repeatedly rescue this damsel in distress.
Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, Buffy Summers, Juniper Lee (girls that kick butt and take names later)
