I like camping, traveling, hiking, gardening, live music, bocce ball, swimming, picnics, blah, blah, blah Cooking, especially barbeque...REAL barbeque...not that grilling thing that we Californians like to call barbequing. Real BBQ takes time, hard wood, and know-how! Other interests: Screwin' around on this damn computer when I should be doing something constructive!Love visiting our National Parks. There is a local man here in town that has gone to every single one!
I'd like to meet fun, yet polite people that can make me laugh and will laugh with me! Some level of politcal interest, BUT NOT OBSESSED! You are not going to save the world by preaching, about anything.Someone who loves MUSIC! NO! Not one type of music, and especially not one or two particular bands....THAT IS HERO WORSHIP! And should be reserved for real heroes...like the beautiful people pictured below...Any extremely talented musician that will wink at me and blow me kisses from onstage while rockin' the house! OH! And I'd especially like to meet Bret Hart and have my way with him!

Mainly punk, metal, surf bands. Lots a different kinds a music. The louder and harder the better. Live, real, up front and personal. Support your local music scene...there is no need to shell out big bucks when I can see great talent right here! Oh, once in a while, some biggy will come along that I will shell out the cash to see.

Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai because I love it when Ghost Dog blows away the hunters that poached the bear!Love those mob movies, especially if Bobby Deniro or Joe Pesci is involved.Love funny movies, adventure, mystery. Once in awhile, the ones that make me cry.
I really like those true crime shows...the ones with real detectives that show real corpses...48 Hours, Cold Case Files. I am following one of our own cold cases up here in the foothills...after 20plus years a placer county sheriff's deputy has finally been arrested and charged for the murder of his wife. I credit Jordan Fisher Smith for the re-newed interest in the case (see books).
"Life of Pi" (MUST-READ FOR ANYONE, but read it with an Indian accent for full effect). "Nature Noir" by Jordan Fisher Smith. He was a park ranger in the American River Canyon area. (He had to retire early after contracting Lyme's Disease. Mysteries (Nevada Barr, Janet Evanovich, right now working my way through Tony Hillerman), How-to, reference..some of the classics (like Steinbeck). Read all of Jim Harrison's books, so-so. Tom Wolfe? Good writer, but WAY TOO WORDY! Like, GET ON WITH IT!
My mom and dad because they both taught me so many useful things. Muhammed Ali, cuz he did not compromise his personal beliefs at the time of Vietnam, and George Chuvalo cuz he damn near beat Ali when everyone thought he wouldn't last 15 rounds! (But that is sports and that is only ENTERTAINMENT)The underdogs, the little train that could, the ant and the rubber-tree plant.
