After 26 frighteningly successful years of haunting, Cydney Neil, the show’s creator and producer, is announcing the end of an era. The Rocky Point Haunted House, known around the world as the “Disneyland of Haunted Attractions†and as a legend in the haunted attraction business, will close its creeky doors for the very last time on April 14th, 2007 after eight final nights of haunting during the 2nd Annual Scream Break show. 2006 was the final Halloween season for this internationally popular event.
“This event was never built to be a haunted house or even a business. It was created as a youth development center. The unconventional group of youth it has served needed an equally unconventional event to be involved in. It is time now to let go of the event so that the youth we have so successfully helped to develop can begin the next chapter in their livesâ€, says Cydney.
