Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness

About Me

Jean is a young UK psalmist…an avid singer and songwriter who recently graduated with a BSc in Economics and Geography. Jean would like to share with others her passion for worship and hopes that’s her story penned might be someone else’s lifeline. She’s been encouraged since her teenage years by her mother Jackie who recently passed away to pursue her dream. Though at first, a naturally shy young lady, singing in front of people was the most daunting thought. However, after joining a local church she discovered that the gift she was so afraid of exhibiting was the very thing that God would use to empower others.
“That is what has kept me going through the years and no matter what I do and don’t achieve in my lifetime. It is the joy of knowing God accepts me as I am without fame, prosperity and even with my faults.”
Despite little formal musical training her natural gift in music has the potential to captivate audiences from all generations and races. Her eclectic taste in music has been a tremendous influence on her creativity.
Last year she began a Masters in International development and Urbanisation at the London School of Economics with the expectation that she would graduate and begin a career in development & aid and perhaps one day become an ambassador for UN-HABITAT changing the living conditions for millions of slum dwellers in less developed countries. However, the bereavement in the family meant that her final exams were deferred until July 2007. Since then, she has chosen to work retail finance and study as a mortgage advisor whilst working on her EP which is expected for release this year.
In the meantime she will continue to participate in many events like the Afro Hair & Beauty Show and the Jesus4Life youth ministry programme making appearances as an artist where ever her music takes her. Jean’s elaborate style and zeal for worship consistently fuels her desire to draw young crowds and deflects their attention from the unfruitful things in life. Though the task of a minister is a great responsibility she understands that “to whom much is given much is also required” and hopes that one day the words she records will challenge others and become an eternal hope for nations.

Word: Romans 7

I know that God's standards are spiritual, but I have a corrupt nature, sold as a slave to sin. I don't realize what I'm doing. I don't do what I want to do. Instead, I do what I hate. I do...
