About Me
Soul Sides is a club night dedicated to soulful music from the 1960's to this day. A focused but wide arrangement of styles is geared to get the dancefloor moving. Classic and newly discovered soul and funk tunes meet obscure latin and 60's r&b to a devastating effect.
The theme has been run from 2003 by DJ's Soul-Sami & Markus-Setä with the close assistance of designer Atte Karttunen. Late 2007 Heikki H. from the Soul Seed club joined the DJ team.
In addition to playing records, Soul Sides intends to offer live music at the sharpest venue in Helsinki, Kuudes Linja. Also the best Finnish and international DJ's will join us regularly. Our international guest DJ's have so far included James Trouble (UK), George Mahood (UK), Karl Marthon (UK/SWE), Tommy Sovik (NOR), Fryer (UK) and Craig Smith (UK)

Soul Sides is proud to kick off 2008 by introducing the rarely heard but more the passionate group of musicians, fronted by the fabulous vocals of Miss Saana. Her group The Missionaries belts out a furious blend of authentic soul and r&b, which is reminiscent of the Stax productions from the 60's and early 70's. Also once again, the Soul Sides Dj's bring only the best of rare soul and deep funk to the dancefloor.
