Pesawat was formed in 2005. Influenced by Billy Idol, The Killers, We are scientist, Editors, Nightmare of you, Mew, Dirty Pretty Things, Jamiroquai, Keane and Black Dog Bone. Their music can be summed up as Progressive Psychedelic rock but they would rather let the listeners to judge their music.
After 8 hours of argument Jipie, Kudux, Man and Nizam Camel finally decided to name the band Pesawat simply because it sounds nice and suits the band. Metaphorically speaking, Pesawat represent a vehicle that spreads their music to the masses. Moreover they wanted the name to be a Malay word. For those who might not know what the hell is Pesawat, Pesawat is translated as Aircraft.
They have just released a decent recording demo (DIRAKAM SECARA ANGGARAN KASAR) entitled "demo demo kawe kawe" and currently working on their EP due to release soon! so just wait lah ok?

Pesawat ditubuhkan pada lewat 2005 atas dasar cinta kepada musik dan ingin membawa satu kelainan serta mencorakkan industri musik indipenden dan perdana negara. Musik pesawat digarapkan oleh pelbagai bentuk pengaruh musik yg terdiri daripada metal, indie, jazz, britrock, hip hop, instrumental, pop, tradisional dan emo. Maka dengan itu, terhasil lah satu musik yg sukar di beri genre atau konsep.Semua ini berlaku kerana keinginan utk menampilkan satu konsep yg original bukan spicy. Justeru, terserahlah kepada halwa telinga yg mendengar utk menilai bentuk musik apakah yg cuba dibawa oleh Pesawat ini.
Pesawat juga adalah sebuah band melayu yg terdiri dari 4 anak muda melayu yang sememangnya berangan untuk mendendangkan lagu inggeris dengan gaya inggeris di samping cuba memartabatkan bahasa melayu di mata dunia. Kepada pendengar di Malaysia, marilah kita support anak watan kita...mungkin satu hari nanti kita boleh buat PESTA MALAM BANDMALAYSIA di negara luar.

Why You Must Check Them Out:Simply because they're good. Really, it's a bit hard to describe how the band sounds like apart from having the best of their influences mashed up into something they could claim their own. If you insist, imagine Jamiroquai doing an Arctic Monkeys while high on Black Dog Bone.
