The Laventesound profile features all of M.L's musical projects:
- Superdude ( together with singer/songwriter Mario Nagtzaam ).Superdude is a band/project/studio kinda thing. We DIY-released our 6-track CD 'Got to find it' at the end of 2005. Both songs, "Drivin'South" and "City Nights" are on this cd. The Fender Rhodes was played by Mike Roelofs, a jazz/pop pianist, who already played at the North Sea Jazz Festival in 2003. More info at www.mikeroelofs.com.
Hope you enjoy our music...............).
- Martin Lavente ( Solo ). Ex-singer in a children's church-choir, ex-drummer, ex bass-player and ex-DJ. At the age of 12 i listened to the radio a lot and when i heard Kraftwerk's "Man Machine " my love for electronic music immediately started. These sounds, these songs...... I started 'bleeping' in 1993 together with R. Schouten ( Momma Gravy , ijlandstudio Amsterdam ). When he left to live in Amsterdam some years later, i took a break for a while, but when i bought my first pc and synth in 1999 i started making music again. The goal is to create something in between a track and a song. My own musical taste is very eclectic so i hope the music i make is kinda divers too, be it with the destinct ML flavour ;). Be glad to know what you think of it ?
- Disgust in Dub ( remaking/rebleeping some old Disgust-songs ). Way, way back ( in the mid-eighties ) i played drums in hardcore/punk-band 'Disgust'. In the beginning of 2006 we were suddenly approached by Belgian record-label 'Noise and distortion' if we were interested in releasing a discography-LP.
We agreed and me and my brother started remastering the old cassette-tapes and the 7" .When everything was digitalized i suddenly got the idea to 're-bleep' a couple of these songs. I took a bass-line or guitar-theme and made 3 old/new songs. The tracks are ready now and only need some vocals and/or guitar by the original members of 'Disgust'.When the songs are completed i'll add one 1 on this profile 2.
