"Dallas, TX native Crashsight is making big noise in the Industrial rock world. Singer Phil, guitarist Jose and bassist Alex came together in Fall 2001 and drummer Miles joined in summer 2006. Since then, the band has recorded two EP’s and plans to record an Internet single called Disintegrate due out April 2008. The band describes their sound as “catchy, but not overly simplified” with at least 10 to 30 electronic layers. The band is most popular among those who are turned off by the bland alternative rock and metal on the radio. Major influences on the band’s style include NIN, Orgy, Pink Floyd and other modern Indie rock artists. The band has found popularity among the video gaming community and thus draws vocal and synth inspiration from the Silent Hill game soundtracks. "
"Crashsight’s distinct sound comes from the effort the band puts into making each song a unique experience. “Each song of ours takes an incredible amount of focus to perfect, due to the high level of textures in the music,” Crashsight says. In the near future, the band hopes to get radio play, increase Internet sales and book opening slots on national tours. Eventually, Crashsight would like to produce other artists and possibly participate in soundtrack work. Crashsight has worked with other Dallas industrial bands to create The Industrial Music Night – a bi-yearly local showcase of bands using innovative electronics.
